Name: Handcrafted Wines from Historical Family-Owned Wineries in Italy
Date: May 17, 2018
Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM EDT
Event Description:

Presented by: Ivan Dogliotti, Owner and Winemaker of Dogliotti 1870, Rick Bedelman of Lipman Brothers and Eros Spinozzi of Spinozzi Selections.

This tasting is a must for true wine lovers as it encompasses Italy’s 3 most well-known wine regions:  Piedmont, Veneto and Tuscany. We’ll be tasting 6 wines from historical family-owned and operated wineries that have been making award-winning wines for over a century!  Come on this wine journey and taste these wines that are primarily only available in finer restaurants and wine shops!

We will be tasting:

From Veneto, and its city of Verona which is located at the foothills of the Alps, the Recchia family has been making wine since 1906.

  • Valpolicella
  • Amarone

From Tuscany, from the Losi Family, who began making wine in 1870 and has exemplary models of Chianti Classico.

  • Chianti Classico Il Brunone
  • Chianti Classico Reserva Il Brunone

From Piedmont, the Dogliotti family, who has also been making wine since 1870, with their artisanal winemaking techniques that  have been passed from father to son for generations.

  • Barbara d’Asti
  • Barolo

And as an added bonus Dogliotti 1870 will also have a couple of samples of their small batch Vermouths, a red and a white one, for us to sample at the end of this tasting!
