Sandy Springs, GA – Act3 Productions presents Into the Woods November 3 - 18 at Act3 Playhouse in Sandy Springs Plaza, 6285-R Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. Find out what happens when an ambivalent Cinderella, a bloodthirsty Little Red-Riding Hood, and a charming prince with a roving eye all get their wish. Tickets are $15-$30 and may be purchased at www.act3productions.org.
One of Stephen Sondheim's most popular works, Into the Woods takes everyone's favorite storybook characters and brings them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece... and a rare modern classic. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
The performance schedule is: November 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, and 18 at 8 p.m. A Sunday matinee is offered November 5 and 12 at 3 pm. An industry preview is set for Thursday November 2 at 8pm. Group rates are available by calling 770-241-1905.
